Con Kasterborous is pleased to announce that we’ll be welcoming multi-fandom author John Peel to Con Kasterborous in June!
Born in the UK but now a resident of Long Island, Peel has written for many of our favorite franchises, including Doctor Who. From The Official Doctor Who & The Daleks Book in 1988, Peel went on to write novelizations of the 1960s Dalek serials The Chase, The Dalek Masterplan, The Power of the Daleks, and The Evil of the Daleks for the Target book range. He wrote the launch novel for Virgin’s New Adventure range, beginning the Wilderness Era novels that ran until Doctor Who returned to screens in 2005. During that time, he wrote novels featuring the Fourth and Eighth Doctors, the latter for BBC Books and featuring the Daleks. More recently, Peel returned to writing in the Doctor Who universe with entries into Candy Jark Books’ Lethbrige-Stewart range.
Beyond Doctor Who, Peel has written for many iconic franchises. These include Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Wars, Quantum Leap, Carmen Sandiego, the 1990s revival of The Outer Limits, and the British spy-fi series The Avengers (which has been adapted into an audio drama from Big Finish productions). He is also the writer of the Dragonhome and Diadem series of fantasy novels.
